Valentina Saltane is Manager of the Regulatory Efficiency Unit at the World Bank where among other projects she leads a comprehensive engagement with the DG REGIO business climate assessment programme in the European Union. Previously, she served in a supervisory role for the Business Ready project and, over the past decade, has managed and contributed to numerous flagship World Bank Group initiatives, including Actionable Regulatory Indicators in the European Union, Migration and the Law, Global Indicators of Regulatory Governance, Enabling the Business of Agriculture, the Open Government Project, Market Assessments, and Capital Markets Indicators. Before joining the World Bank Group, she worked at the Law and Economic Consulting Group (LECG) in New York City and the World Resources Institute in Washington, DC. Ms. Saltane holds a bachelor’s degree in Economic Development and International Studies from Colby College and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Economic Development from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs.
