Professor at the University of Lodz at the UNESCO Chair of Ecohydrology and Applied Ecology at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection. Expert in ecohydrology, nature-based solutions and adaptation of cities to climate change. Secretary of the Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences on the Climate Crisis. Member of the Water4All European Partnership Advisory Team, the European Committee for Standardization's working group on nature-based solutions and Programme Committee Working Group of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change. Involved in NGOs and self-governments support in adaptation. Over 25 years of expertise in implementation of research in national, EU and international projects, authored over 30 publications in scientific journals, 15 books and handbook chapters, delivered over 100 oral presentations at international conferences.
